Final Music Video
Our music video is finally complete and it took around 2 weeks of filming to get it done. Our whole team is Anthony Mejia, Sarah Newman, and I. Our actors are Luna, Anthony (Scriptwriter and Cinematographer), Abrar, Giovanna(Pink Hair), Mycahi, and Mrs. Golio (There was another actor but we had to leave him out). The music video had to end abruptly because a few of our files had gotten corrupted and there were none to be found. But other than that, Our music video turned out alright.
When we started our music video, it was really hard to film since only a few of our classes had aligned and only one lunch had aligned together with our busy schedules. But we were able to get it done. One thing that was wrong with our music video was about the timing and location. Since the school is a busy place it was very hard to find good timings to record other than our lunch times and study halls. Some scene ideas didn't go through like a close up tracking of our actor Luna being happy. It did not work out since the hallway was very busy (Cannot show the scene because our actor did not give consent). During the end of the music video, when Luna is skipping through the end of the school, the area was too dark so we had to turn up the contrast, but the scene still turned a little choppy. Some of the scenes we deleted and some scenes we had to rerecord or leave it out. There was supposed to be a scene 5 but some of the files were corrupted, so the video had ended abruptly. Here are some scenes.
Sometimes our actors didn't know we were recording so we had to redo some of the scenes.
Here are some bloopers:
The first clip is our actor Mycahi's bad acting, which ended up being in the video because it was funny and genuine laughter. With some editing we made it fit. The second clip we had to retake it 3 times. 2 times with Mycahi, but we realized that the acting doesn't work out in terms of location so I substituted in the music video. Third clip, our actor Luna was coming in from the wrong direction, so we took it out and rerecorded the direction where she was coming from. Through some choreography and scheduling we finally got the music video done and it was really hard in terms of shooting the cinematography.
Some things I would use this to improve is the filming technique and acting. Because most music videos have slower or faster paced acting that is unique to its lyrics.
