General Media I Have Consumed Over the Years and My Favorites

This person might be the youngest person ever?

It all started during one fateful night when 4-year-old Yuvin Marasini went to go perform Vacation by the Dirty Heads in Canada's Got Talent. Well, he is in fact not the youngest person ever, it is a viral internet meme that has been reiterated, changed, and reposted many times. The meme itself was originally not supposed to be a meme, but someone had decided to edit the video in a way where the introduction dialogue between Yuvin and the judges included a lot of juxtaposition, and the judges kept on bombarding Yuvin with questions like "How old are you?" or "What's your name?". In hindsight, this is just one type of media I have consumed through social media like Instagram and TikTok. But enough of what today's memes are called "Brain rot", which I agree.

To continue on the general topic, most of the media I have consumed throughout the years comes from shows of a wide variety of genres and YouTube. To emphasize the peak of cinematography, editing, mise-en-scene, and sound. These two live action shows have impacted me deeply: Breaking Bad and The Blacklist. Specifically in the Blacklist there is this one scene which the dialogue is so impactful and emotional that it changed the way I looked at media and sought it.

This scene taught me what it is like about youth and how it feels to grow up. That is why I placed this show in my favorites. For Breaking Bad, I will not go too much into detail about it but, it is indeed an absolute masterpiece of filming. The story is so impactful that I will not even discuss it. Moreover, what other media I have consumed throughout the years are animated films and shows. This is where imagination, animation and creativity have peaked at my interest. I have been watching Japanese animated shows called anime. Most are not that impactful, some are but comedic reliefs, and there are very few shows which have gained my praise. Here are some of them I recommend you watch since it is popular even through people not interested with anime.

These animes have anticipating story lines, loveable characters, ad everything a professional live action series or movie would have. Furthermore, I have consumed other media like free-lance videos from YouTube and some music. Some channels I like to watch on YouTube are 8BitRyan who is a British game player and has very professional editing skills, The Organic Chemistry Tutor who teaches a variety of math and science-based topics, Kurzgesagt in a Nutshell, and some political media and news like BBC, CNN, CBS, and NBC. Finally, the last type of media I consume are music and books. I do not listen to music a lot, but I do have favorite songs and I do not read as much as I used to but, I have started to read graphic novels and manga, which is the source material for the anime. Here are some recommendations.

In conclusion, I have consumed a multitude of media throughout the years and have many more recommendations. I would consider myself cultured though I do have some unique tastes in media that others don't. But we all entitled to what we like or do, and this blog is evidence of it. So, try media if it is recommended to you, you may never know if you like it.
